Wix lets you build a website for free and upgrade to a paid plan when you’re ready to publish professionally. It has four main paid plans: Light, Core, Business and Business Elite. The biggest decision is whether you need to accept payments, sell products or take bookings, because those start on Core.

Every paid plan includes a free domain for 1 year, and Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee.

What each plan includes

Wix’s entry plan for doing business online. It adds accepting payments, basic eCommerce, scheduling and services for bookings, a basic marketing suite, 50 GB of storage and 5 collaborators.

Business ($39/mo)

Wix’s recommended plan for selling online, with standard eCommerce, a standard marketing suite, 100 GB of storage and 10 collaborators.

Business Elite ($159/mo)

Costs and catches to know about

  • Light can’t take payments. If you want to accept payments, sell or take bookings, start with Core at $29.
  • Listed prices are yearly. Wix shows prices for yearly plans paid upfront; paying month to month typically costs more.
  • The domain is free for 1 year only. Expect to pay for the domain renewal after that.
  • Taxes are extra and depend on your billing address.

Is Wix worth the price?

For most small businesses that want an all-in-one site they can build themselves, yes, and hosting is included, so there’s no separate host to pay. Core is the sweet spot if you take payments or bookings.
