Free for up to 10,000 subscribers. Creator, which adds unlimited automations and sequences, is $33 a month for 1,000 subscribers ($390 billed yearly). Pro is $66 a month for 1,000 subscribers. Why we like it
- Free up to 10,000 subscribers
- Unlimited automations and sequences on Creator
- Landing pages and forms to grow your list
Who it’s not for
Creators who mainly want built-in ad income or a publishing website with comments and paywalled posts. beehiiv or Ghost are built more for that.
beehiiv: Best for growth and ad income
beehiiv is a newsletter platform focused on growth and monetization, with an ad network, a recommendation network and paid subscriptions.

Pro is $95 a month billed yearly and removes beehiiv branding. Paid plans can be tried free with no credit card.
Why we like it
- Ad monetization and a recommendation network
- 0% take rate on paid subscriptions (Lite and up)

Who it’s not for

- Price your list in a year. Most platforms charge by subscriber count. Check the price at the list size you’re aiming for, not just today’s.
- Own your list. Whatever you choose, make sure you can export your subscribers anytime.
- Start free. Kit, beehiiv, Substack and MailerLite all let you start without paying.
